Logan Paul could be set for a huge match at WrestleMania 41.
The Youtuber-turned-boxer, who has wrestled within WWE since 2022, is no doubt a major draw.
He had a successful run as United States Champion, before dropping the belt to LA Knight at SummerSlam last year, and has rarely been seen since.
Despite his hiatus, and even claiming he was ‘retired’ from professional wrestling, Paul was moved to the Raw roster ahead of last week’s Netflix premiere.
He was shown in the crowd at the debut show, and could now be set for more in-ring appearances moving forward.
In fact, he could soon be building towards a massive WrestleMania bout.
According to a report from PWInsider Elite, WWE’s creative team have been pitching the idea of a match between Paul and World Heavyweight Champion Gunther.
However, whether the belt will be on the line is currently unclear, as there are still three months for the title to change hands before the biggest show of the year.
The report also noted that it is still very early on in the creative process for WrestleMania, so plans could change very easily.
But suggestion that Paul could face Gunther – in a title match or not – is an exciting prospect.
The 29-year-old has been involved in a number of big bouts during his professional wrestling run, and has often impressed with his in-ring ability.
He has already faced the likes of Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns – who are all top stars in the industry.
Gunther, meanwhile, is in the prime of his career, and has dominated opponents during his five-month reign as world heavyweight champion.
A match between the pair would certainly be worthy of a spot on the WrestleMania card.
Paul, who quickly established himself as a big draw after arriving in WWE, has also recently been touted as the potential ‘face of the company’ by a Grand Slam champion.
Speaking during an appearance on NBA Today, The Miz suggested he is not dissimilar to basketball star Victor Wembanyama.
“I look at (Wembanyama) as the new face of the NBA,” Miz explained.
“When I think of the WWE, and I think of a person who is an up-and-coming superstar who could be the face of WWE, I’m thinking of Logan Paul.”
That’s certainly high praise from a veteran who has seen and done it all in the industry.
And with a match against Gunther reportedly pitched internally, The Miz might not be the only one who believes in Paul’s potential.
