West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen has planted himself in the history books, and this time, it’s in the Queen Vic rather than the London Stadium.
The East London club’s captain made an appearance in the much-loved EastEnders as the show celebrates its 40th anniversary.

Bowen becomes the show’s first ever guest appearance from a current Premier League player.
Bowen appears in a video message to wish West Ham fan Billy Mitchell the best for his upcoming wedding to his partner Honey.
“Hey, Honey and Billy, it’s Jarrod Bowen here,” Bowen said in the video message.
“Teddy told us you were about to tie the knot and I want to say a massive congratulations.
“Good luck from myself and all of us here at West Ham. Enjoy your special day, hopefully we’ll see you at the London Stadium soon.”
The club has had a huge role in the soap opera throughout its 40 years on television and Billy Mitchell is a notable fan.
Eagle-eyed viewers will also notice that Albert Square shares the iconic E20 postcode with West Ham’s ground – the London Stadium.
Bowen’s cameo is a family affair too. Bowen is engaged to Dani Dyer, the daughter of Danny Dyer, who played Mick Carter in EastEnders.
West Ham legend Harry Redknapp has also appeared on the show in the past.
Speaking on his appearance on the show, Bowen said: “It’s great to be part of the EastEnders 40th anniversary celebrations and appear on the show.

“EastEnders is loved by so many people and obviously has a strong link to the east London community, so to represent West Ham United in this very special episode is a really nice moment for everyone connected with the club.”
EastEnders’ Executive Producer Chris Clenshaw added: “We’re thrilled that Jarrod agreed to take part in our special celebrations as we lead up to our 40th anniversary.
“EastEnders has many dedicated West Ham fans, both on and off screen, so it’s a real honour that we can now say we have had the West Ham captain and England international appear in the show.”
The 28-year-old forward has scored six goals and assisted four in the Premier League this season so far.
However, Bowen suffered a foot injury which sidelined him for four matches in the league in January.
Despite West Ham suffering in the league after sacking Spanish boss Julen Lopetegui, the Hammers have begun to find some stability under new manager Graham Potter.
Bowen netted 16 goals and six assists last campaign, contributing to his tally of 20 goals across all competitions for the east London club in 2023-24.
