Wednesday’s fixture list features some key league games around Europe, including a clash between North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, Newcastle will be out to continue their brilliant run of form when they host struggling Wolves.

Rangers host a fading Aberdeen side in the Scottish Premiership, while on the continent Harry Kane’s Bayern Munich are looking to extend a perfect start to 2025 in the Bundesliga.

Rangers to win to nil vs Aberdeen @ 5/4

Aberdeen were the Scottish Premiership’s biggest story not too long ago, as their brilliant start to the season put them in early title contention. The Dons were keeping pace with Celtic as Rangers faltered, but their form has nosedived and they have now failed to win in 11 games.

Rangers have issues of their own, but the Gers maintain a strong record at home, recently beating leaders Celtic 3-0. They have won 10 of 11 matches at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership so far, conceding only four goals.

Aberdeen visit Glasgow having lost to nil in each of their last three games, while they’ve failed to score in four of their previous five. That poor record should continue at a Rangers side who are efficient at home, so back the Gers to win to nil.

Special of the day

Bayern Munich to win 2-0 vs Hoffenheim 7/1

Bayern Munich won their opening game of 2025, beating Borussia Monchengladbach 1-0 away from home. They can continue that perfect start to the New Year on Wednesday when they host a Hoffenheim side who have lost their last two.

The visitors have lost by two goals at Frankfurt and Mainz, while they head to a Bayern side who have won by two clear goals in six of their seven home Bundesliga games this term.

Hoffenheim have conceded twice in seven of their eight defeats this season, so back the side with the Bundesliga’s best defence to claim a 2-0 win.

Long shot of the day

Alexander Isak to score 1st and Newcastle United to win 3-0 vs Wolves – 22/1

Newcastle United have won eight consecutive games across all competitions, keeping five clean sheets in that run. The Magpies have also been clinical of late, scoring at least three times in their last five games at St James’ Park.

Alexander Isak is spearheading Newcastle’s fantastic form, although the Swede did get a rest in Sunday’s victory over League Two side Bromley. He’s scored 10 goals across his last nine appearances for the Magpies, failing to net in just one of those games.

Isak is behind only Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland in the scoring charts, having netted 13 times in the Premier League. Of those goals, seven have been the opening goal of the game.

With Wolves losing 3-0 to Nottingham Forest in their last game, it’s easy to see this being a one-sided affair. Take Isak to score first in a routine 3-0 victory at the price of 22/1.
