Philadelphia Eagles vs Kansas City Chiefs predictions
The Chiefs head into Super Bowl 59 with a chance at becoming the first team to win three straight Super Bowls. However, a stout Eagles team stands in their way.
The Eagles defense was the No. 1 unit regarding yards allowed per game during the regular season, surrendering less than 280 per outing.
Part of the defensive prowess in this game will come in the form of their pass rush, which features Josh Sweat, Moro Ojomo, Jalen Carter, Milton Williams, Nolan Smith, and potentially Brandon Graham.
Graham was designated to return, but it remains to be seen if he’ll ultimately suit up.
This pass-rushing unit could be in for a productive day against a Chiefs offensive line that moved left guard Joe Thuney to left tackle, but now, it has a weak spot with Mike Caliendo manning the left guard spot.
He’s allowed six pressures and a sack across two playoff games.

Sticking with the trenches, I also trust the Eagles offensive line to keep quarterback Jalen Hurts upright. They have left tackle Jordan Mailata and right tackle Lane Johnson. Between these two, they’ve allowed just two sacks all season.
Shoot, Johnson has allowed just 12 pressures all season.
There is a question mark regarding center Cam Jurgens. He played fewer snaps than normal in the NFC championship due to an injury, but he has two weeks to heal up more. This will be important, and he’ll have to hold down defensive tackle Chris Jones, along with some other help.
This offensive line will also continue to help running back Saquon Barkley. He has five rushing scores over the past two weeks and is well-positioned to have another good game, as the Chiefs have allowed at least 107 rushing yards to opposing running backs and have also allowed three rushing touchdowns to running backs this postseason.
Philadelphia Eagles vs Kansas City Chiefs pick
My pick for this game is the Eagles +1.5, and I’d even be OK with the moneyline.
I expect this game to go over the total of 48.5, with the Eagles winning 31-28.
The Eagles have an excellent team, but the Chiefs find ways to score.
Another matchup I’m watching for is the game between the Chiefs slot cornerback Chamarri Conner and the Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith. Conner has allowed a reception on 85.1% of targets thrown his way.
Take the Eagles. They’re stopping the three-peat.
