Sheffield United v Sunderland predictions
Just two points separate the top four teams in the Championship heading into this weekend, with two of those sides going toe-to-toe in South Yorkshire on Friday night to kick off the weekend’s action.
Sheffield United head into Friday’s clash with only goal difference separating them from being top of the table, with Chris Wilder’s men currently sat in second place having picked up 16 points from their last six matches.
Meanwhile Sunderland, having been five points clear at the top of the table a month ago are now down in fourth, albeit only two points off the top, having been held to a draw in each of their last five matches.
Regis Le Bris’ side haven’t lost a match in any competition since the end of September, a run now spanning 10 matches, but also head into their final match of November not having won a game so far this month.
The Black Cats have found goals tricky to come by in recent weeks, scoring only three in their last five games while the Blades have arguably been the most impressive team in the second tier in recent weeks, and have kept six clean sheets in seven home league games this season.
Sheffield United are very much the form team heading into Friday’s blockbuster game, while Sunderland are winless in their last five, a streak I expect to continue on Friday, as I’m back the Blades for a 2-0 home win.
Sheffield United v Sunderland betting tips
All five of Tyrese Campbell’s goals this season for the Blades have come in his last six appearances for the club, his goal in the 3-0 win against Oxford in midweek being the third game on the trot in which he’s scored.
The Blades boast the second best defence in the league at the moment, keeping six clean sheets in seven home matches this season, with Mark Cooper having kept 10 clean sheets in 15 games in all competitions this season.
