Aryna Sabalenka stuck to her promise after buying a special gift for her close friend and tennis rival Paula Badosa.
The humorous exchange started after Sabalenka and Badosa met at the Australian Open semi-finals last month.

The World No. 1 was the favourite and duly delivered with a 6-4, 6-2 victory to secure her spot in the final.
But she failed to claim her fourth Grand Slam title, losing to Madison Keys.
Despite the loss, the Belarusian star earned £955,000 in prize money to add alongside her astonishing career earnings of nearly £26million.
During her post-match press conference after the semi-final, she said: “Paula, we’ll go shopping and I will pay for whatever you want.
“I hope she’s going to still be here [in Australia] and [if so] we [will] go shop. I’m going to put a limit on her, you know, because she can go crazy.”
In reply, Badosa remarked: “Something really expensive then. It’s going to be something really expensive because now I think she doubled the prize money.
“I think she won’t have a problem with that. I will think about it.”
And in a recent upload to her Instagram story, Sabalenka stayed true to her word, sharing a clip of Badosa holding her gift.
Badosa could be seen grinning like a Cheshire cat as she unveiled an item of jewellery, which appeared to be a bracelet.
Captioning her post, Sabalenka simply stated: “She said she forgave me.”

For Badosa, she will be hoping her gift represents a good-luck charm as she bids to win a maiden Grand Slam in 2025.
Her semi-final run at the Australian Open was the furthest she had reached in one of the four most prestigious tournaments on the calendar.
The 27-year-old had previously exited the 2021 French Open at the quarter-finals, the same round she lost in at the 2024 US Open.
Sabalenka and Badosa will be back on the court at Doha for the Qatar Open which starts on Sunday.
The next scheduled Grand Slam is the French Open, starting in May, where the two will be among the favourites to be crowned as the Queen of Clay.
It remains one of two Grand Slams, alongside Wimbledon, that Sabalenka has not won.
