OpenShaquille O’Neal had one-of-a-kind $250k car custom made in dramatic change to base model

Shaquille O’Neal’s hulking 7ft 1in frame made basketball look easy at times.

The four-time NBA champion put countless opponents on a poster thanks to his unique combination of size and athleticism.

But there are drawbacks, in particular when it comes to getting into sports cars.

O’Neal recently purchased a Lucid Air, which retails from $71,000 for the Pure model all the way up to $250,500 for the top-of-the-range Sapphire version.

Unfortunately, the four-door version just didn’t fit the bill.

So Shaq turned to California-based shop West Coast Customs, who turned a Porsche Cayenne SUV into a mini-van for Mark Zuckerburg’s wife Priscilla Chan.

The end result is absolutely incredible.

The car’s pillar has been pushed back to make room for some Shaq-sized front doors, with the rear ones dropped entirely.

West Coast Customs did not stop there, the Lucid badge has been replaced with O’Neal’s nickname Diesel on the front of the car.

The rims have been branded with Superman logos in another extra detail.

Shaq hasn’t shared any photos of the interior, which presumably comes with plenty of extra legroom thanks to the modifications.

The top model Lucid Air boasts 1,284 horsepower and can go from zero to 60mph in 1.89 seconds with a top speed of 205mph.

O,Neal has built a business empire since retirement[/caption]

Shaq is highly likely to have shelled out a lot on top of the off-the-shelf price with his extensive upgrades.

Thankfully the NBA icon has plenty of loose change thanks to his $500million business empire.

Shaq made an estimated $286million across his Hall of Fame career, enough for ninth in the all-time rankings.

And the mogul has increased his wealth since leaving the court in 2011.

He is also the president of basketball operations for Reebok, with fellow NBA icon Allen Iverson serving as vice president.

His investment portfolio includes Google, Papa John’s, and a variety of franchise businesses.

In 2019, Shaq joined the board of directors for Papa John’s and invested in nine franchises in Atlanta, as well as becoming the face of the brand in a reported $8million deal.

He owns a Krispy Kreme franchise in Atlanta and co-founded Big Chicken, a Louisiana-style fried chicken sandwich chain.

Shaq is also a burgeoning DJ under the name DJ Diesel.

And the iconic big man rakes in $10million per year for appearing on TNT Sports flagship Inside the NBA.
