Daniel Cormier was left stunned following Tallison Teixeira’s incredible knockout win at UFC 312.
Teixeira went into the bout undefeated in MMA and it took him just 30 seconds to extend his perfect record on his UFC debut.

The 25-year-old Brazilian said he was ‘expecting a war’ ahead of the bout, but made sure that wasn’t the case when he made quick work of Justin Tafa.
Teixeira started on the front foot from the first bell and trapped Tafa on the cage before delivering a brutal elbow that forced the referee to stop the fight.
UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier was on commentary with British MMA icon Michael Bisping for the fight.
“Wow!” was all he could say as Teixeira stopped his heavyweight counterpart in just 30 seconds.
“That was right to the face, that was square on the face.”
Cormier then interviewed Teixeira after the bout to get his immediate thoughts.
“First of all thank you to everyone for coming…an amazing country, an amazing ground. Thank you so much,” Teixeira said.
“I’ve been working really hard. You try to find that loophole you try to find your way in. I went in there and unfortunately for him it was my day.
“He was a tough guy…but I knew one thing that he was going to lower his head and I was going to come in and finish the fight.”
Tafa looked as if he questioned the stoppage, but Bisping confirmed an opposing view during the UFC 312 broadcast.
“It didn’t look good,” he said. “He took a massive knee and massive elbow…but I understand pride kicks in.”

Tafa had won all seven of his UFC victories by way of KO, but failed to bring that same violence to Sydney, Australia for UFC 312.
The New Zealand fighter made his UFC debut in October 2019, winning three of his first six fights in Dana White’s promotion.
However, his defeat to Teixeira marked his second in a row in the UFC.
