Real Madrid stars Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe ruthlessly booed by Liverpool supporters – and fans think they know why

Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe were the subject of boos at Anfield every time they touched the ball early in the game.

Fans have only just worked out why that might be the case as Real Madrid played Liverpool.

It seems as though Reds fans are unhappy with Bellingham and Mbappe… because they did not sign for the club.

Both had been heavily linked with a move to Anfield during their young careers.

One fan wrote on X: “Liverpool fans booing Bellingham and Mbappe because they didn’t sign for them. Dear me.”

Another added: “Liverpool fans booing Mbappe and Bellingham everytime they touch the ball…they didn’t force you to read articles.”

A third said: “Liverpool fans booing Bellingham and Mbappe because they couldn’t afford to sign them.”
