OpenRavens star cashes in $250k bonus after earning key incentive in last regular season game

There are a lot of dollars on the line in Week 18.

And for Baltimore Ravens linebacker Kyle Van Noy, he cashed in.

Van Noy is in his second season with the Ravens

Headlining into the last regular season game, Van Noy had 11.5 sacks on the year.

A half sack away from an even 12.

But more importantly, a half sack away from an additional $250,000.

In Van Noy’s contract, if he were to reach 12 sacks on the season, then he would be rewarded with an additional $250k.

Late in the first quarter against the Cleveland Browns, Van Noy cashed in.

He sacked Browns quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson, giving him 12.5 sacks on the year.

And an extra $250k in his pocket.

However, that’s not all.

If Van Noy were to get 1.5 more sacks, giving him 14 on the year, he would earn another $250k.

The Ravens star pass rusher has a chance to make in total an extra $500k at the office.

Van Noy will have two more quarters to go, in his quest for another big check, as the game is currently at halftime.

It is a game that the Ravens need to win to clinch the AFC North and cement themselves as the third seed going into the postseason.

With a win, they will capture back-to-back division titles.

While Week 18 may not present many postseason implications, there incentives galore for players to hit across the league, and in some cases, that matters just as much to them as anything else.
