The Formula 1 season is coming to an end but off the track the race has only just started.
Topps have released their annual Chrome F1 set and while Max Verstappen has now won the title there is more glory to be had for fans.
The stellar set includes the current global superstars like Verstappen and title challengers Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc.
Meanwhile, you can also find the ‘Future Stars’ of the sport with wonderkids Ollie Bearman and Mercedes‘ 2025 talent Kimi Antonelli featuring in the set with base and insert cards available.
Legends are sought after too with Michael Scumacher, Aryton Senna, Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, and David Coulthard included in a stacked checklist.
And autographed cards will be the most in-demand, allowing F1 fans to collect an amazing memento from another incredible season of motorsport from Bahrain to Brazil, taking in Monaco and Las Vegas along the way.
One man’s card’s though will be the talk of the track though.
The 2024 Topps Chrome Formula 1 set will be Lewis Hamilton‘s last as a Mercedes driver before joining Ferrari.
An icon of the sport with a record-equalling seven title wins to his name, Hamilton has been a collectors’ favourite since the first Topps Formula 1 Chrome release in 2020.
And that release broke records in stunning fashion when the legendary British driver’s 1/1 superfractor sold for a stunning $900,000 (£712,512).
That’s the largest ever for any Formula 1 card, not just Hamilton.
Not bad for considering the teen who packed the card – Jean-Nicolas Gagnon from Quebec – found it in a box worth $50 (£40).

That sale featured on the Netflix series King of Collectibles: The Goldin Touch.
After selling the Hamilton Superfractor, the young collector said: “I am so excited to get this kind of offer.
“Such a huge amount can really change my life and the life of my family.”
“When I heard that amount, I almost fell backwards,”said his father. “I never thought a little piece of cardboard could be worth that much.”
So this year’s 1/1 cards will be hunted for by collectors young and old whether it’s to feature in a treasured collection, or to be sold to a super fan.
Whether the record will be broken, we’ll have to wait to find out.
