This week sees the first of 17 consecutive Thursday nights of Premier League darts, touring across 15 cities in the UK and Ireland, as well Rotterdam and Berlin – with the season final coming from the O2 Arena in London on the 29 May.

Luke Littler begins the defence of his Premier League Darts title this week as he takes on seven time champions Michael van Gerwen in the third quarter final of the opening night of the season at the SSE Arena in Belfast.

Littler and MVG are the only two out of the eight competitors this year to have won the Premier League prior to this campaign, with the former having won on his debut season last year, beating the world number one Luke Humphries in the final.

Thursday night sees Humphries take on Nathan Aspinall in the final quarter final of the evening in Week 1.

Two newcomers join the eight in the competition this year, with World Championship semi finalists Stephen Bunting and Chris Dobey replacing Michael Smith and Peter Wright, though both newcomers have each played in the Premier League before.

The opening match up of the tournament sees Dobey take on Gerwyn Price who will be looking to improve on his seventh placed finish last season, and the winner of that tie will face either Bunting or Rob Cross in the first semi final of the night.
