Open‘Poor decision’ – Ryan Fitzpatrick forces stunned Richard Sherman to walk off set in freezing temperature

It’s fair to say the Chicago Bears’ Thursday Night Football game against the Seattle Seahawks was a bit of a dud.

Seattle came through the ugly contest 6-3 to keep their playoff hopes alive while condemning Chicago to their ninth straight defeat.

It was a matchup of extremely low quality that many fans labeled ‘the worst NFL game of all time’.

Fortunately, Amazon Prime’s coverage was much more entertaining, with analysts Richard Sherman and Ryan Fitzpatrick going to extreme lengths to keep themselves awake after sitting through the certified snoozefest.

After the game had ended, a shirtless Sherman jumped into an ice bath on set, presumably to show off his mettle and see how long he could last.

“He’s suffering,” host Taylor Rooks said as she and the others remained warm in the 40 degree Chicago temperature.

Not to be outdone, former NFL quarterback Fitzpatrick then threw down his microphone and took the plunge in the same tub as Sherman, jumping in chest high.

‘Fitzmagic’ immediately felt the chill of the icy water, letting out several big exhales and shaking his head while he adjusted to the freezing temperature.

“Where is the clock?!” Sherman yelled, wondering how long he’d been in there.

More ice was then poured into the tub, although that didn’t seem to faze Fitzgerald who covered it over his head.

Suddenly, it all became too much for Sherman who, after 29 seconds, jumped out of the tub and hopped around in an effort to get himself warm.

“How are you still in there?!” he yelled at Fitzpatrick, before running off set and looking for help in the Soldier Field tunnel to get warm.

“Are you even cold?” Fitzgerald was asked, but he ignored the question and completely submerged himself in the water, feet pointing towards the sky.

Sherman eventually returned with a towel around him, admitting “it was a poor decision.”

Fitzpatrick then leapt out of the tub and ran off to grab his own towel.

“You ain’t getting that on Netflix,” Charissa Thompson joked as the segment ended.

The bit was better than the entire Bears-Seahawks game and fans were loving it.

“Best group ever bro,” posted on fan.

“Psycho,” one account said of Fitzpatrick.

“When the game was so trash the game crew had to partake in this foolishness. Gawwwleeee that looked cold as hell!” a second added.

“No one going to mention that Fitzpatrick almost drowned on live tv flipping upside down and he was actually realistically fighting for his life to get out,” said another.

“Fitzpatrick is a gift from God,” a fourth posted.

The Bears’ season goes from bad to worse after the defeat.

They fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron earlier in the season before eventually getting rid of head coach Matt Eberflus.

They’ve now lost nine on the bounce and are 4-12 for the season, having failed to make the playoffs since 2020.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks’ victory increased their playoff odds from 14 percent to 16 percent.

However, the team is still trailing the Rams for the NFC West title, and are unable to secure a wild-card spot with their current record (9-7).
