Not many would have guessed that Luton Town, who were in the Premier League just last season would struggle this much back down in the Championship.
They sit 20th after 26 games gone and look in danger of facing the drop with relegation rivals Portsmouth having two games in hand and only a couple of points separating them, Hull, Cardiff and Plymouth.
They’ve lost four on the bounce and come into this in dire form the exact opposite to Nottingham Forest who are flying high in the Premier League.
And not many would have expected them to be where they are either, sitting in third place, just six points off the top after 20 games played.
They of course have to be favourites coming into this, but could the magic of the cup rear its head again?
These sorts of games are likely to see that kind of thing with Luton having nothing to lose, while Forest may at the back of their minds be wanting to focus all their energy on their Premier League run.

That said, Forest have now won six games on the bounce in the Premier League, all of them across the festive fixtures and beyond in the tough spell at the end of December, including a Boxing Day win over Tottenham and a 3-2 win at Old Trafford earlier in that month.
Their only two recent losses have come against City and Arsenal too which says a lot about their defensive improvements this season.
While also being the only side to beat Liverpool so far too, back in September.
Their could be a big shock in the FA Cup, but surely Forest won’t squander their incredible form against a side who’ve lost four on the bounce.
That said, they will surely put out a completely changed side this weekend as they face Liverpool on Tuesday, a huge clash where a win would see them go just three points behind the league leaders.
That’s why with both forms colliding and the context of next week, a draw looks like a huge price to play.
