Nick Kyrgios has revealed his… unique clothing ritual when appearing at tennis events.

The former Wimbledon finalist has previously fallen foul of the All England Club’s strict white-only dress code.

However, his admission about underwear does not fall foul of the tournament’s rules.

The Australian has revealed he does not wear any when on the court at events.

His admissiojn comes after Mike Tyson’s bare bottom was broadcast live on Netflix.

The former heavyweight world champion was caught short during coverage from the dressing room ahead of his bout against Jake Paul.

Kyrgios discussed the incident on Jase and Lauren on Nova 100 and was asked if he wears underwear in the dressing room.

He explained: “I actually don’t! I free ball!

“Fun fact for you guys, I free ball when I play tennis, so when I’m playing the Grand Slams, you can just picture me now, free balling… fun fact for you!

“I need to feel it nice and free down there when I got break points.”

There is no rule against Kyrgios’ approach to underwear, either, despite the strict dress code at Wimbledon.

The only rule on underwear reads: “Any undergarments that either are or can be visible during play (including due to perspiration) must also be completely white except for a single trim of colour no wider than one centimetre (10mm).

“Female players who are allowed to wear solid, mid/dark-coloured undershorts provided they are no longer than their shorts or skirt.”

Kyrgios will be hoping to make a return to SW19 in 2025 as he prepares for a return to the court.

The 29-year-old was beaten in four sets by Novak Djokovic in the final back in 2022.

He has since suffered from a string of injury woes which have seen the former world number 13 drop out of the rankings.

However, Kyrgios is set to appear at next month’s Brisbane International ahead of the Australian Open on home soil.
