Newcastle managed to get back to winning ways last weekend with a 3-1 victory away at a bottom of the table Southampton side after falling to a shock 4-1 defeat at home to Bournemouth in their previous outing.
Eddie Howe’s side have now won 10 of their last 11 matches in all competitions, starting the run of form whilst they were down in 12th place in the league and now head into the weekend inside the top five, level on points with the top four and the Champions League places.
The Magpies head into Saturday’s game with Fulham having won six of their last seven matches against the west London side, who haven’t won at St James’ Park in the Premier League since 2009.
Fulham’s defeat at home against Manchester United last weekend was their second in their last three matches, leaving them with just one league victory in their last five games and with just two in their last nine.
Marco Silva’s side sit just inside the top half of the Premier League table in 10th place heading into the weekend, and have enjoyed their time on the road of late, tasting defeat only once in their last seven matches away from home.
The Cottagers do sit only three points off the top eight, which is expected to be enough to qualify for European football with the Premier League currently in line to earn a fifth Champions League berth for next season, so will be eager to do their best to climb back into the top third of the table.
Despite Fulham’s strong away record of late, I expect Newcastle to continue their very impressive form as they push for a Champions League finish next season. I’m predicting a 2-1 home win and for the Magpies to make it 11 wins from 12.

Alexander Isak has scored 13 goals in his last 10 Premier League matches for Newcastle, leaving him just one goal shy of Erling Haaland and two off Mohamed Salah in the race for the Golden Boot.
Newcastle head into the weekend having won 10 of their last 11 matches in all competitions making them the most in form team in the Premier League.
The Magpies conceded four in their most recent home game though, and come up against a Fulham side have scored at least twice in five of their last six league games, so a clean sheet will be difficult to come by for the Tyneside club this weekend.
