Liverpool vs Real Madrid prediction

It’s rare to get Real Madrid to win at a price over evens let alone around 3/1.

But they face a tough task against a side on a win streak of four in the UCL and the Premier League leaders who have only lost once and that was back in September, to Nottingham Forest.

The Reds did look up against it to Southampton on Sunday at times but fought back from 2-1 down, despite taking a 1-0 lead, to win 3-2 thanks to a Mohamed Salah brace.

They will all be looking forward to welcoming Real Madrid to Anfield as it will provide the biggest test they’ve faced and could well be a final in a few months time.

Liverpool did dominate the Saints, as they were expected to, as they had 27 shots, 63% possession, 600 passes and ten corners.

There were also a fair few yellow cards with seven throughout the match and that could also be the case in this clash along with plenty of goals.

Liverpool vs Real Madrid betting tips

Real Madrid will be without one of their stars at Anfield, as Vinicius Jr is still out injured and ruled out of this clash.

The Brazilian remains Madrid’s top goalscorer as well as the player with the most yellows cards for the club.

But they still have plenty of fire power as do Liverpool with the likes of Salah, Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz, Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo and Jude Bellingham likely to feature prominently on the night.

Mbappe has seven goals in his first 12 La Liga matches for Real Madrid and one goal in four in the UCL.

Salah on the other hand, has ten goals and six assists in the Premier League from just 12 appearances along with four assists and a goal in the Champions League.

There’s always a great sense of rivalry when these two meet as they have so often in big European games recently and this should be no different.

Two players for Liverpool who will likely be up against it and as such like to see a booking are Ibrahima Konate and Alexis Mac Allister, with seven and six respectively this season.

Konate has already seen two bookings in his first four appearances in the UCL too and will surely add to that against a tricky Real Madrid side.
