Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever could be a problem next season.

New coach Stephanie White is looking to build a dynasty around the Rookie of the Year.

Fans were delighted when Clark’s backcourt partner, two-time All-Star Kelsey Mitchell, signed an extension.

The signing of 2019 Defensive Player of the Year Natasha Howard when free agency opened on Friday was another huge move.

And ESPN is reporting that a three-way trade has added yet another weapon to White’s new-look team.

The Dallas Wings are trading forward Satou Sabally to the Phoenix Mercury and will receive point guard Ty Harris, the reserved rights to free agent forward Kiki Herbert Harrigan from Phoenix.

NaLyssa Smith and the eighth selection in this year’s draft are also heading to Dallas from the Fever.

Indiana is getting guard Sophie Cunningham and the No. 19 pick this year from Phoenix.

Center Kalani Brown and the reserved rights to point guard Sevgi Uzun are heading to Phoenix from Dallas.

Cunningham is known for her shooting and averaged 8.4 points on 37.8 percent from three in 2024.

Fans think her skill from distance combined with Clark’s playmaking will be a lethal combination if the reported trade is confirmed.

“I now may be one of the biggest Fever fans. Soph and the Goat going to be an insane combo,” posted one on X.

Clark has become a high-profile figure on and off the court

“Fever got another very good 3-pt shooter which helps spread the floor for Caitlin to do her thing,” added another.

“Sophie about to be in the same team as Caitlin Clark? This is about to be interesting,” a third wrote.

“Sophie Cunningham is a perfect fit for Caitlin Clark. All she has to do is sit in the corner and shoot 3s and Caitlin will find her,” a fourth noted.

“I’m not sure if people realize how loud and spicy the Fever are about to be with Clark and Cunningham. It’s like matched energy,” beamed another.

“She’s handling the pressure very well she’s doing a lot of great things for women’s basketball and I’m a fan like I would love to play with her one day for real,” Cunningham previously told The Travis Hearn Project.

Dallas designated Sabally as its core player in a sign-and-trade, meaning the deal could not become official until Saturday.

Clark was thrilled to see Mitchell return and will no doubt be excited that her team is making such strong moves.

Her teammate is Indiana’s all-time No.2 scorer and will be entering an eighth season with the franchise.

“I met one of the greatest people in the world, Caitlin Clark, who just ran the basketball world,” Mitchell said after the announcement. “So I think together, we hope to make you guys proud.

“We hope to make you guys feel like you’re a part of our success and our journey. I’m here, let’s do this.”

After Clark was named Eastern Conference Player of the Month in August, she claimed Mitchell deserved it more.

“I felt like [Kelsey] probably should have gotten a little love. I honestly thought she probably should have been Player of the Month,” she said. “So I feel very fortunate to play with her. Honestly, I’m not even trying to be corny, I really think she deserved it.”
