Open‘I’m waiting’ – Tommy Fury makes fight plea to Conor McGregor as he seeks Darren Till replacement

Tommy Fury has urged Conor McGregor to contact him over a boxing fight, after cancelling his clash with Darren Till.

Fury was set to return for the first time since beating KSI in October 2023, in a clash with former UFC star Till on January 18 in Manchester.

But he elected to withdraw from the fight after his rival made a vow to break the fight rules and use MMA moves during a heated press conference to sell the fight.

‘TNT’ has yet to announce any replacement opponent, but is seeking one so he can make his comeback in the opening stages of 2025.

UFC superstar Conor McGregor has been heavily linked with a boxing clash against Logan Paul, which would end his over three year hiatus from combat sports.

With a clash against Paul now in jeopardy, British YouTube star KSI decided to put his name in the hat to replace ‘The Maverick’ if he chooses to focus on his WWE career.

But Fury has made his own case for a showdown against McGregor, calling for the Irishman to ignore KSI’s interest and fight him instead.

He wrote on Twitter: “@TheNotoriousMMA don’t waste your time with beaten fighters.

” Fight the man who’s beaten them all and still has his 0. I’ll be waiting.”

Fury added a phone emoji at the end of his call-out, a sign that he wants McGregor to get in touch and make talks over a showdown official.

The Irishman hasn’t fought since breaking his leg in a devastating trilogy defeat to Dustin Poirier in 2021.

He was set to make a comeback last year against Michael Chandler, but the clash was abandoned after he got injured in training.

McGregor still has two fights remaining on his deal with the UFC, but has yet to set any new plans in stone over a return to the cage.

KSI and Fury were linked themselves with a rematch, but it now appears they are both focused on their pursuits of McGregor.

Fury could find himself frozen out if McGregor shows more interest in a fight with his bitter rival.

The rising star was unhappy with Till which led to his decision to withdraw.

And he has revealed a replacement fight is being lined up.

He said: “At the end of the day, Darren Till is a main with no brain cells. He was going to get the highest payday of his career.

“But that’s now dead in the water, I’m at a stage in my career now where I don’t need to be rolling around the floor with Darren Till.

“Darren Till is out of there.

“We are on with making a pretty big fight. The next time you will see me in the ring, you’d want to see it more than Darren Till.

“I’m not going to say too much but there is a lot on the table, I’m in a great position.”
