Neymar has hinted at a possible reunion of FC Barcelona’s iconic trio including himself, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
They were one of the most prolific front threes in footballing history, and the ‘MSN’ trio could not be far away from reuniting.
The number nine, 10 and 11 at Barcelona enjoyed notching an incredible 364 goals and 173 assists between them during their tenure at the Spanish club.
Neymar was the first of the trio to leave Barcelona in 2017, for what is still a world record transfer fee of £198million.
Messi and Suarez stayed on at Barcelona for a further three seasons before the Uruguayan joined Atletico Madrid.
Messi joined PSG where he was reunited with Neymar in 2021, and the pair played together for another four years.
Neymar’s departure in 2017 marked the end of the ‘MSN’ era at Barcelona, but now, the Brazil international has spoken of a possible reunion.
Speaking at the Globe Soccer Awards recently, Neymar said: “Obviously, playing again with (Lionel) Messi and (Luis) Suarez would be incredible.
“They are my friends. We still speak to each other. It would be interesting to revive this trio. I’m happy at Al Hilal, I’m happy in Saudi Arabia, but who knows. Football is full of surprises.
“When the news came out that I was leaving Paris Saint-Germain, the transfer window was closed in the United States, so I didn’t have this option.
“The project they offered me (in Saudi Arabia) was very good, not just for me but also for my family, so going to Saudi Arabia was the best option.”
Suarez joined Messi at MLS side Inter Miami in 2024 where the pair have been playing together since.

Suarez will play in the MLS for at least another year after signing a contract extension of one year, whilst Neymar is penned to be at Al-Hilal until this summer.
The 2026 World Cup is likely to be the next time in which the trio are united again – this time in competition with each other.
Neymar will hope to bow out of his footballing career with a victory for Brazil, who have failed to get past fourth place since they won in 2002.
Messi led his Argentina side to a victory in 2022, and Uruguay are without a win since 1950, although they did secure fourth in 2010.
The attacking three ended the 2014-15 season with 122 goals, setting a Spanish footballing record for the most from a front three.
A season later in 2015-16, they added another nine goals to total 131 collectively, and broke the record they had set in the campaign before.
