Footage shows Paris Fury’s instant reaction to Tyson Fury’s second loss against Oleksandr Usyk

OpenFootage shows Paris Fury’s instant reaction to Tyson Fury’s second loss against Oleksandr Usyk

Paris Fury’s reaction to husband Tyson Fury’s second successive boxing defeat to Oleksandr Usyk was one of huge shock.

Fury entered the ring in Saudi Arabia, on Saturday night to exact revenge on his first-ever professional loss in May.

Both men put on another heavyweight spectacle, but the result, unfortunately for Fury, remained the same.

Usyk was declared the winner on points and is still undefeated as all three judges ruled the contest 116-112 in his favour.

There was a mixed response to the decision, with many boxing fans divided in their opinion.

The consensus seems to be that Fury didn’t do enough, in terms of damage and landing punches, in order to dethrone the Ukrainian.

However, one person who did think the Briton was victorious in the bout was Fury’s wife, Paris.

Footage has emerged online of the 35-year-old reacting to the unanimous decision live from her front row seat in Riyadh.

Paris looked unsurprisingly nervous as announcer Michael Buffer began to make the announcement.

She then said her husband’s name and started to clap and smile when Buffer read that all three judges were in favour of the winner.

However, as soon as Paris heard ‘still undefeated’ (signalling that Usyk was the winner), her expression immediately changed and she shook her head from left to right in shock at the decision.

Fury had revealed in the build-up to his fight with Usyk that he hadn’t spoken with Paris for three months as he endured an intense training camp.

‘The Gypsy King’ also revealed that Paris suffered a miscarriage just one day before his first meeting with Usyk in May.

He said he knew something was wrong when he was told Paris could not fly over for fight week on a private jet organised by Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh.

Thankfully for Fury, his wife was able to join him for his rematch with Usyk, even if the result didn’t go his way.

He has since claimed he was ‘robbed’ after the defeat and asserted the judges awarded his opponent with an early Christmas present.

Uysk, meanwhile, is looking forward to relaxing at home with his wife and children.

“Now I want to go back home, off my phone, close in my house, sit like this (arms stretched) and then look in the sky and say: ‘Ya.  Oh how the tree is growing!’” he said in his post-fight press conference.

“Now I want to rest. Not think about boxing, [Daniel] Dubois, Tyson Fury, blah. Just rest. Play with my children.”

Pursuing the rematch with Fury meant Usyk lost his IBF title, which is now held by Britain’s Daniel Dubois.

Dubois will now look to set up an undisputed clash with Usyk in 2025 as he eyes up the WBO, WBA and WBC belts too.

The 27-year-old crashed Usyk’s post-fight ring interview to make sure Usyk understood his intentions.

“Usyk I want my revenge, I want my revenge,” Dubois shouted.

“I want my revenge for the robbery last time. Let’s go. Where is Frank [Warren], make it happen?”

Usyk responded: “Your Excellency [Alalshikh], make me fight with Daniel Dubois, thank you so much.”

Fury’s next move will now be up in the air, as he will likely assess if he is to continue boxing.

Alalshikh has made it clear that he would like Fury to fight Anthony Joshua next, and he wants Usyk to fight Dubois but only if the latter beats Joseph Parker in February.
