Liverpool are facing their fifth game in as little as two weeks tonight with this one of the most important against their storied Merseyside rivals.
Liverpool are top of the league still with only one loss all season, after 23 games and they could extend their lead at the top of the league to nine points with a win here.
They did just lose 1-0 to Plymouth though in the FA Cup 4th Round, a rare game not only to concede against a lower league side but also to not score at all.
Arne Slot’s side have scored 56 goals in their 23 Premier League games so far and that rate has largely been seen in all other competitions too.
Everton have really bounced back to form as well though.
Since appointing David Moyes they’ve won three in a row – as many as they had won in their previous 20 games in the league.
So this rescheduled game is probably the best thing for the Toffees in giving them a shot at a win over their rivals.

Liverpool have been hard to beat this season in all competitions but last year they lost this exact fixture 2-0.
This was their first win after a winless run of five games – with just one draw amongst that as Liverpool won to nil three times, with a 4-1 win back in December 2021.
It seems like it could be a closer clash now, despite four 2-0 finishes in the last five it looks as though it could be a 2-1 or a 3-1 to Liverpool.
Despite Everton bouncing back, when Liverpool have their strongest squad out and they’re playing well they’re almost impossible to stop.
As such a win for the Reds coupled with a couple of other usual selections, like Mo Salah adding to his huge tally of goal involvements, fouls and yellow cards as this derby clash could easily turn heated.
