Do no-verification casinos offer faster withdrawals?

EntertainmentSportsDo no-verification casinos offer faster withdrawals?

There is no shortage of places to play casino games online. Unlike the world of brick-and-mortar casinos, players can more easily shop around and find a different site if they feel they can get a better selection of games or bonuses elsewhere – unless of course, you’re in Vegas!

As a result, gaming sites are constantly refreshing what they offer and trying to attract players with new rewards and loyalty schemes, as well as USPs.

What are no-verification casinos?

One such USP which appeals to some users is the lack of a KYC (Know Your Customer) process when signing up. These are otherwise known as ‘no-verification’ casinos. They enable players to start playing quickly and don’t ask you to prove your identity, thus allowing you to game anonymously.

It’s important to note, however, that sites which do operate KYC measures are generally safer as they ensure that every account is genuine – no bots, no fake identities used for money laundering – and that every user is safeguarded from hackers and data breaches.

Making withdrawals

Because no-verification casinos freely allow you to sign up and deposit, they are generally also instant withdrawal casinos – you won’t need to go out of your way to prove where the money’s going.

The only real reason, however, that a KYC casino may put an obstacle between you and your winnings is if you skip over some of the initial onboarding steps. Those who like to sample the offerings from several different operators may be prone to this and also might not check that casino’s KYC policy.

While some details and documents may not be as essential as others in order to start playing, when it comes to making a withdrawal, you would then be asked for ID before the money is released. Therefore, it’s best to have everything set up from the get-go.

Additionally, casinos employing KYC processes will also require a recognised payment method as part of the proof that you’re a genuine human being – be it a debit/credit card, bank account to transfer to, e-wallet or cryptocurrency. Naturally, the speeds at which each of these processes and receives funds varies.

Other factors to consider

Some casinos, wanting to balance KYC requirements in the territory they operate in without putting up too many barriers to players, will utilise a tiered KYC system whereby only basic details are needed initially. As the player starts making more (and larger) transactions, however, they will ask for more documents.

Also bear in mind that sites will continuously monitor player activity and making withdrawals can become more difficult if they detect suspicious behaviour or patterns. Those moving large amounts of money in and out of their account regularly may be asked to jump through more verification hoops.

These are just some things to bear in mind, however, as a casino’s fraud detection and anti-money laundering features will be running in the background using automated software. Gaming platforms, in order to retain players, aim to keep the user experience as stress-free and streamlined as possible.
