Tempers almost boiled over as Derek Chisora and Otto Wallin weighed in ahead of their upcoming clash.

Chisora takes on Wallin in his 49th and penultimate professional outing on Saturday night at the Co-Op Live Arena in Manchester.

The event is being billed as ‘Last Dance’ by Queensberry Promotions and will be Chisora’s final fight on British soil.

He is expected to have one final bow abroad, either in Saudi Arabia or Africa, before he eventually hangs up his gloves for good.

The 41-year-old is hoping to land a farewell fight with either former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou or a trilogy bout with long-time rival Dillian Whyte.

But before that, he will have to get through Wallin.

The build-up to fight night has been fairly respectful.

It was all smiles at their press conference yesterday.

However, there was tension in the air at their Friday weigh-in.

Wallin (27-2) weighed in at 239.1lbs – 5lbs lighter than his last outing against the unheralded Onoriode Ehwarieme.

Chisora (35-13) tipped the scales at 259.7lbs – 3lbs heavier than he was for his bout with Joe Joyce in July.

As they came face to face, Chisora lent in and butted heads with the Swede before ‘Del Boy’ grabbed hold of Wallin and put him in a headlock.

It appeared to be more jovial than anything and didn’t get much of a reaction out of Wallin, although security were forced to pull them apart.

Speaking moments later, Chisora said: “I have [entered war mode] but I’m doing it in a nice way.

“I just put him in a chokehold. His manager had to get involved.

“He said ‘You’re very good at this’. And that is why after 49 fights I’m still headlining.”
