Week 2 of the 2025 Premier League Darts season comes from the OVO Hydro in Glasgow. The atmosphere promises to be electric when Luke Littler gets proceedings underway against Rob Cross in the opening match.
Luke Humphries won Week 1. The World No.1 defeated Chris Dobey 6-1 in a one-sided final. Humphries will hope to cash in on his recent good form with back-to-back winning nights. Along with Littler, Humphries is the joint favourite to win in Glasgow.

Premier League Darts predictions
Luke Humprhies looks to be in the easier half of the draw this week. If results go to form, ‘Cool Hand’ won’t have to face either of Luke Littler or Michael van Gerwen until the night’s final.
Humphries won’t fear either player in his current form. The World No.1 defeated MVG 6-5 in a semi-final last leg shootout in Belfast last week. He then thrashed Chris Dobey 6-1 in the final.
Humphries also made it to the semi-final of the Players Championship in Wigan on Monday, where this time he lost 7-6 to Joe Cullen in another last leg shootout. Throw in his win at the PDC World Masters the weekend before the Premier League started, and there is little wrong with Humphries’ form at the moment.
Luke Littler also lost to Joe Cullen in Wigan on Monday. The ‘Nuke’ produced a far more disappointing performance, losing 6-3 with an average of just 87.81, at the Round of 32 stage.
The competition was played behind closed doors, an environment Littler opening admits he struggles with. He also took a swipe at his critics on social media, showing that despite the loss, he is well fired up for Glasgow this Thursday.

Premier League darts betting tips
Luke ‘Cool Hand’ Humphries isn’t the only man in good form recently. Rob Cross won the Players Championship event in Wigan on Monday. Both feature in our Week 2 Premier League Darts betting tips:
Rob Cross (+2.5 legs) to beat Luke Littler
Not so much a reflection on the form of Littler, but more on the excellent form of Rob Cross.
‘Voltage’ picked up the win at the Players Championship on Monday and he also saw off the challenge of the in-form Stephen Bunting on Week 1 of the Premier League.
With a 2.5 leg start on the handicap line, Cross could lose this match 6-4 and the bet will still win.
In the sort of form the 2018 World Champion is in, we have to back him to win at least four legs against Luke Littler who has been misfiring since winning the world title last month.
Back Rob Cross to beat Luke Littler with a 2.5 leg start at 4/5 with BetMGM
MVG to have more 180s than Stephen Bunting
This looks the best of the four quarter-final matches on paper.
Stephen Bunting has been in good form in recent weeks, but MVG had a good opening night in Belfast.
The seven-time Premier League Darts champion defeated Luke Littler in their quarter-final and took Luke Humphries to a deciding leg in their semi-final.
MVG averaged over 100 in both matches, and when he is in this sort of form he is hard to stop.
Bunting produced a disappointing display in his loss against Rob Cross. The occasion seemed to get to him, and the ‘Bullet’ will need to vastly improve to avoid a second defeat.
Buntling got two 180s last week against Rob Cross. MVG got six in his quarter-final against Littler.

Gerwyn Price (-1.5) to beat Nathan Aspinall
Gerwyn Price has been a bit unpredictable in recent months, but he did produce a performance straight out of the top draw against Luke Humphries in Ireland on Saturday.
Albeit in an exhibition match, Price thrashed Humphries 6-1 in Ennis, with ‘Cool Hand’ producing a three-dart average of 119.88, a total only bettered three times on TV.
The record won’t stand as the event was an exhibition. But it could be the sort of night that enables Price to rekindle his form of old against an out-of-form Aspinall.
Gerwyn Price (-1.5 legs) to beat Aspinall on the handicap at even money with BetMGM
Luke Humprhies (-1.5 legs) to beat Chris Dobey
We already know that Humphries is in good form. Last Thursday he beat Nathan Aspinall 6-2 in the quarter-final and Chris Dobey 6-1 in the final. Only MVG took ‘Cool Hand’ to a final leg decider.
Humphries is even money from a -2.5 leg start. That is tempting in his current form. But it would mean he would have to win 6-3 or better.
Despite last week’s 6-1 loss in the final, just getting there was a good performance from Dobey. We can see him producing a better performance against the World No.1, but still falling short.
