Open‘Be careful’ – Shannon Sharpe warns Shedeur Sanders he’ll be in huge trouble if he doesn’t change in NFL

Shedeur Sanders was roughed up as the Colorado Buffaloes’ playoff hopes suffered a major setback.

The Kansas Jayhawks triumphed 37-21 to take the Buffaloes‘ fate out of their hands.

Shedeur is set to follow in his father’s footsteps and enter the NFL

“We controlled our own destiny, and we fumbled it,” admitted Deion Sanders.

Coach Prime’s son Shedeur was in the heart of the action as always.

The potential No. 1 pick in next year’s NFL Draft threw for 266 yards and three touchdowns.

He also took a huge hit that was branded “dirty as hell” by one fan.

Kansas defensive end Dean Miller went flying into Sanders’ knee after he released the ball.

It looked very late in slow motion, although real-time replays were kinder to the Jayhawk.

Later in the game, referee Kevin Mar was trying to prevent a scuffle and Sanders appeared to shove him in the back with both hands.

“There’s no question that he does,” FOX Sports rules analyst Mike Pereira said.

“Look, I get why he’s upset because people are almost climbing over him after he was down.

“But the officials can use their hands all they want to try to keep order.

“But you cannot come back as a player and push an official. In the chaos, the officials don’t see it, but he’s lucky he wasn’t ejected from the game.”

Sharpe told Sanders that he needs to be more careful when he makes the step up, where replay officials are always on hand.

“Just be careful, bro, because at the NFL level you’re gonna get tossed,” he said on the Nightcap podcast.

“It’s really that simple. You’re gonna get tossed out of the game if you put your hands on an official.”

The 8-3 Buffaloes are next in action against the Oklahoma State Cowboys Friday.

And Coach Prime is determined to avoid any hangover over the holidays.

“You’ve got to refocus your young men and let them understand this is not about turkey and dumplings and cranberry sauce and whatever you have,” he said.

“It’s not about that. It’s about football, man.”

There is still plenty to play for for Colorado as Sanders and two-way star Travis Hunter try and secure their spots near the top of the draft.

Deion has suggested that he will stop his son joining the wrong team.
