Tottenham will not be signing Axel Disasi on deadline day, talkSPORT understands.
Spurs had been pushing to sign the Chelsea defender on loan, but he has now snubbed the move in favour of joining Aston Villa.

An agreement is in place for Disasi to head to Villa Park until the end of the season with a £5million loan fee included.
He will become Unai Emery’s fifth signing of the month after also wrapping up deals for Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio.
Those loan additions followed earlier permanent deals for Donyell Malen and Andres Garcia.
Disasi’s arrival follows late interest from Spurs, although the 26-year-old was always set on joining Emery’s side.
It comes as Radu Dragusin is ruled out for the rest of the current campaign in another injury blow for Ange Postecoglou.
The Romanian international has torn his ACL.
Dragusin was forced off 21 minutes after coming on against Elfsborg in the Europa League last Thursday.
The 23-year-old then missed Spurs’ 2-0 win at Brentford on Sunday afternoon as a result of the knee injury.
His absence adds to a growing list of injuries in north London, with Cristian Romero also expected to be out for another three weeks.
Meanwhile, centre-back Micky van de Ven has made a staggered return to action with players like Archie Gray forced to play in defence in recent matches.
Elsewhere, Dominic Solanke and Guglielmo Vicario are amongst seven other injured Spurs players.
Postecoglou now faces a tense wait for any new signings before the 11pm deadline.
He could still land Mathys Tel on loan from Bayern Munich after Manchester United pulled out of the race.
Spurs had earlier failed with a deadline day move for Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi.
Postecoglou saw a late £70million bid for the England centre-back rejected by their London rivals.
Instead, his only January signings have been the additions of Antonin Kinsky and Kevin Danso.

The latter has signed on loan from Lens after Spurs successfully hijacked Wolves’ move for the Austrian international.
Meanwhile, Kinsky has already made six appearances since joining from Slavia Prague at the start of the window.
