Aston Villa head into their FA Cup third round clash in good spirits having returned to winning ways in their last Premier League outing, a 2-1 home win over Leicester, lifting them into the top eight of the table and within just four points of the Champions League qualifying positions.
Unai Emery’s side had won only one in four prior to Saturday afternoon’s victory, and extends their current unbeaten record at home to seven matches without defeat at Villa Park, which has also seen them pick up 13 points from their last five home league games.
