Angel Reese has made the most of her newfound superstar status.
However, the 22-year-old admitted that her fame, which has brought in dozens of endorsement deals, ultimately means nothing compared to one key thing.

Reese has rocketed to fame in the last 18 months after her initial breakthrough in April 2023 when she won the NCAA championship.
The Chicago Sky forward’s rivalry with fellow phenom Caitlin Clark, which began in college basketball, brought millions of new eyes to the WNBA in 2024 as the pair enjoyed record-breaking seasons.
ESPN averaged 1.2 million viewers for WNBA regular season games, up 170 percent from the year before, while the entire league enjoyed a 47 percent increase in attendance.
With Reese one of the biggest names in the league, dozens of companies have flocked to her in a bid to align themselves with her growing brand.
In the past year, the former LSU star, who has an estimated net worth of $2 million, has signed lucrative deals with the likes of McDonald’s, Hershey, Amazon, Beats by Dre, PlayStation, and Cashapp.
One of her biggest deals came with Reebok, who announced Reese would be getting her own signature shoe that will debut in 2026.
Despite such tremendous success off the court, Reese took to social media recently to remind fans that there is one thing that trumps anything sponsorships can offer an athlete.
“Money is nice. Championships are BETTER,” Reese put out on X shortly after the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday night.
Reese was in New Orleans over Super Bowl weekend, and was a coach for Team Kai in the Super Bowl LIX Flag Football Game on Saturday.
Inspired by the Eagles’ win, Reese also took the opportunity to shut down a fan who suggested that the Sky missed out on opportunity to help her win a title this year.

“Sky not getting you pg help is diabolical smh,” a fan replied to Reese’s initial tweet about championships.
To which the 22-year-old responded, “We got exactly what we want right now. NEXT!”
Chicago missed out on the playoffs last year, partly due to Reese’ injury late in the regular season which derailed the team.
After sacking Teresea Weatherspoon, Chicago heads into 2025 with new coach Tyler Marsh and a real sense of optimism for the season ahead.
With second year players Reese and Kamilla Cardoso along with the return of franchise legend Courtney Vandersloot, the Sky are expected to make a postseason run this year.
The WNBA season returns May 16 with an opening weekend blockbuster clash between Reese’s Sky and Clark’s Indiana Fever.
