EntertainmentSportsHow to watch Cheltenham Festival after ITV coverage ends with final two races switching TV channels

Cheltenham Festival is the first of the UK’s big three horse racing events to arrive in 2025 with 28 races across four huge days.

Along with the Grand National and Royal Ascot, the Festival attracts sporting eyes from all over but watching on TV is not entirely easy.

Cheltenham, which is the pinnacle of the jump race calendar, has been dubbed the Olympics of jump racing and fittingly, the majority of the races are on free-to-air TV.

However, like the Games, some of the sport’s best horses and jockeys are hidden behind a paywall once ITV‘s coverage each day ends.

Cheltenham Festival 2025: How to watch final two races

ITV 1’s coverage on all four days at Cheltenham starts at 1pm and ends at 4:30pm. The first five races can also be streamed via ITVX.

The broadcaster doesn’t cover any of the final two races on each day of the Festival.

Instead, fans will be available to watch on the dedicated horse racing channel Racing TV.

It is available to purchase through Sky and Virgin, and can also be streamed via Amazon Fire TV, Android TV and Apple TV devices.

Racing TV, formerly Racing UK, is available on Sky channel 424, Virgin Media channel 536, and Vodafone TV channel 421 in Ireland.

An annual subscription costs £298 and monthly it is £29.98. You can sign up here.

In addition, several betting websites and apps will show all the races to funded account holders under each event’s own betting page.

talkSPORT is also right across the festival, with all remaining races broadcast on talkSPORT 2.
