Canelo Alvarez has been sharing the ring with ex-rival Jaime Munguia in training to prepare for his 2025 fights.
Pound-for-pound great Alvarez is now set to have a busy 2025 having signed a four-fight deal with Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh.

As part of that deal he will first return in May on ‘Cinco De Mayo’ weekend in an undisputed title clash with William Scull.
He will then face Terence Crawford in a mega-fight in Las Vegas in September and the stakes couldn’t be higher for the Mexican in 2025.
As always, the current unified champion will leave no stone unturned for his training camp in San Diego, where he will draft in quality sparring to put him through his paces.
But incredibly, Alvarez has been spotted training with fellow Mexican Jaime Munguia, whom he dominated and defeated in their May 2024 clash.
Munguia has had a difficult time since losing his unbeaten record, having also been beaten in a stunning upset by Bruno Sarace in December last year.
He is also looking to take preparations to the next level for a potential rematch with Surace, and sharing shots with Alvarez again will no doubt aid him.
Footage has even emerged of the pair in training at the gym with Alvarez’s coach Eddy Reynoso, watching on as they practised their shots.
The pair engaged in non contact sparring, with Alvarez initially taking centre ring and firing some jabs with Munguia evading them and working on his head movement.
The drill was repeated the other way around with Alvarez then working on his sensational speed and movement.
It could be a fruitful partnership and fans were astonished to see the pair suddenly working together.

One reacted: “A great partnership with benefits to both of training together.”
Another wrote: “Dope to see how many fighters Canelo has trained with. Respect to his work ethic.”
One even joked: “Wow this is great to watch. I’d love to hear about them having a gym fight.”
Others suggested how much it could benefit Munguia, adding: “Good on him to take a step back from his losses and try to improve.
While a final fan concluded: “This is awesome! Even though Canelo defeated him, it’s fantastic to see them training together.
“Canelo won for a reason, and this will not only enhance his boxing skills but also expand his knowledge.

“I’m really excited to see this duo!”
Alvarez will be looking to claim the undisputed crown at 168lbs again by beating Scull to raise the stakes further for his clash with Crawford.
It has been a busy period of negotiations for Alvarez, who even looked to have one point being thrust into a commercial blockbuster with Jake Paul.
Reports indicated that a deal had been done for him to fight an unlikely rival in a YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul.
But plans were shelved after Alalshikh intervened with the lucrative offer, which is believed to be in the region of $200million for Alvarez for four fights.
