Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh has sarcastically proposed a YouTube mega title fight between Jake Paul and Mr Beast.
There has been a dramatic change of events after Canelo Alvarez walked away from a fight with Paul to sign a lucrative four-fight deal with Riyadh Season.
Canelo was scheduled to fight Paul on May 3 in Las Vegas but the Mexican instead opted for a deal with Alalshikh.
Canelo is now expected to fight once in May before a Terence Crawford mega-fight in September, despite previous reports of the bout being cancelled.
That will be followed by two Riyadh fights in February 2026 and October 2026.
It was news that reignited a rivalry between Alalshikh and YouTube boxer Paul.
The Saudi boxing chief has previously expressed his lack of interest in Paul and the world of influencer boxing, despite the lucrative amounts of money involved.
According to ESPN, Alalshikh told the publication ‘Canelo fights only real fighters’ in response to beating Paul to the deal.
Paul called Canelo an ‘owned slave’ in a furious rant on social media after their $200million deal fell through.
In jest, Alalshikh has now proposed a mega-fight for the 28-year-old which could earn him just as much money.
“I have good advice for them. Let them bring Mr Beast and we can sanction it with Disney for the belt of YouTube. Everyone will subscribe and watch it.,” he said.
Mr Beast has over 350,000,000 subscribers on YouTube and even has his own Amazon Prime game show in similar fashion to the hit show Squid Game.
Paul, meanwhile, launched a fierce attack on Canelo and the Saudis.
“We had a signed contract to fight,” he said. “Claiming he’s not fighting YouTubers, bull****. We were announcing Tuesday February 11th.
“Claiming he’s fighting real fighters but he’s fighting Crawford a 135lbs fighter and running from a real fighter like David Benavidez, you b****.
“The truth is you can be bought. You’re a money hungry squirrel chasing your next nut. The truth is the sports washing shady characters are paying you hundreds of millions of dollars to stop our fight from happening because they couldn’t fathom the fact they cannot create a bigger fight than me and you.”
He continued: “Al Haymon has made you hundreds of millions of dollars and you turned your back on him for this cheque. Disloyal. And you were begging to do this fight on pay-per-view, but I have loyalty, loyalty to Netflix, doing the biggest numbers.
“You call me a YouTuber but you’ve never had a boxing match as big as mine. Remember you told my team that your daughter came home and asked if you were fighting Jake Paul, she was all excited. You said that was the first time your daughter has ever asked you about a fight.
“And you’re screwing over all your Mexican fans by doing your fights in Saudi. It just shows what type of person you are.
“And I promise you one thing Canelo, any fight you do this year, mine will be bigger. Go f*** off to your boss you Ring Magazine employee.”
