This year’s NFL showpiece has already made it’s mark in the city.
From the vibrant pink and green that lights up every corner of the Superdome and adorns every lampost from Louis Armstrong International Airport to the Ernest A.Murial Convention Center that is filling up by the day.
As the self titled biggest night in North American sports edges closer, talkSPORT were amongst a group of invited media to go behind the scenes ahead of opening night.
A chance to see what is on offer for fans who are paying upwards of $5,000 for a regular ticket in the stands or a mindblowing $2million for the most expensive, luxurious suites.
Those spots range from an incredible pitchside bunker suite that runs the risk of players gatecrashing the party by storming through the endzone.
The Superdome has 165 suites in total, 153 of them at 400 and 33 level offering a perfect view of the game – and they can house anywhere between 14 and 40 people.
Tickets, though, to the most watched game in the world, a front row seat to the Apple Music Half-Time Show that will be headlined by Kendrick Lamar are just the tip of the iceberg.
Fans will also get the chance to much their way through a mouthwatering menu that features indulgent cocktails and locally themed food and drink that has though through at every level by Sodexo Live!, the caterers on their 16th Super Bowl.
Rough estimates put the number of meals served up between Super Bowl 59 and FanFest at 250,000.
For a city shaped by it’s culture, and in particular it’s food, no stone was left unturned in delivering an authentic Louisiana experience.

New Orleans offers everything for food fans, and it will be no different on Game Day come Sunday night, with 40 per cent of the food locally sourced.
And local delicacies will be flavor of the hour.
For those not familar, the Po’Boy is New Orleans version of a sub sandwich, and they have been supersized for Super Bowl Sunday.
Surf N Turf, Soft Shell Crab and Fried Oyster Po Boys will all be available for Kansas City Chiefs chasing a sandwich three-peat to go with a Lombardi treble being chased by Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid and Travis Kelce.
The Big Easy Hen of the Wood Bahn Mi might take you longer to say than eat.
What about ‘football food’ fans? Not to worry, they’ll be catered for, too.
