Luke Littler jets off on holiday after banking £500k – and surprises fans at pub darts competition

OpenLuke Littler jets off on holiday after banking £500k – and surprises fans at pub darts competition

The teenage dart sensation jetted off to sun-soaked Benidorm following an unforgettable World Darts Championship.

The getaway came just days after his thrilling 7-3 victory over Michael Van Gerwen at London’s iconic Alexandra Palace at the start of 2025.

Littler deserves a break after his huge win.

The young star opted for a budget flight with Ryanair, despite his impressive victory last week that saw him walk away with a jaw-dropping £500,000 win.

‘The Nuke’, who will be 18 by the end of January, visited the Bar Players Sports Bar, in Albir where he watched his brother take part in a darts contest.

The 17-year-old was joined by his parents Lisa and Anthony, along with sister Caitlin and brother Leon, who took his partner and baby.

The bar he visited posted pictures of the champ on social media, writing: “Last night saw the first darts tournament of 2025 and what a night it was.

“With a special appearance from the Darts Champion of the World Luke Littler and his family and friends.

“We were very honoured to be in the company of an amazing dart player and person. With Luke’s brother Leon taking part the night was a great one as you can expect.

“All at the Bar Players Sports Bar Albir would like to thank you all for taking time out of your holiday and spending it with us. We wish you all the best for 2025.”

They also thanked all who took part in the contest, saying they hoped they had a great time with Luke and his family.

Luke’s joyous time continued by surprising a friend during his holiday.

Captured on video, he strode through a restaurant donning an unassuming grey tracksuit, just as he spotted the table where his friend sat with Luke’s dad.

Their friends couldn’t believe it when the Littler’s arrived.

The look of disbelief on his friend’s face was priceless as he did a double take, astonished to see the darts star approaching.

The friend immediately jumped up, hands on his head in shock, before wrapping his arms around the darts champ.

The video was posted with “love a good surprise” as a caption.

When he flew out Luke attempted to maintain a low profile at Manchester Airport.

He wore his hood up and keeping his earphones in.

One passenger shook his hand after spotting him.

The bar thanked Littler for visiting

They said: “He appeared a bit annoyed that I’d recognised him, so I suggested he was attracting more attention with his hood up.”

Later, the young champion swapped his hood for his brother’s baseball cap, blending in more comfortably.

However, once in Benidorm, he delighted fans by sharing a photo on social media, capturing the stunning beach where he basked in 20C warmth.

A stark contrast to the -6C and snow swirling around his hometown in Warrington, Cheshire.

Over the past year, Luke has racked up an incredible £1.5 million in prize money and secured sponsorships with giants like Microsoft and Boohoo.
