Tony Romo is banging the drum for Jarod Goff to be named MVP.
The Detroit Lions quarterback came into the Thanksgiving showdown against the Chicago Bears with a 10-1 record.

Dallas Cowboys legend Romo is on the call for the game and had high praise for Goff’s season so far.
He believes the former Los Angeles Rams signal-caller should be in pole position for the end-of-season honor.
Unfortunately, the avid golfer chose a metaphor that missed the fairway.
“Romo said Goff is the leader in the clubhouse for MVP. That makes zero sense since he still has 6 games to play,” commented one fan on X.
“Tony Romo: “Jared Goff is off to a great start this year…” it is week 13,” added another.
Goff, who famously had a golf hole in his home back in L.A., could make his MVP case stronger with an eye-catching primetime display today.
He is currently behind Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Saquon Barkley in the bookies’ odds.
Romo’s Goff comments were not the only ones to land in the rough.
Commenting on an incredible trick play that saw right tackle Penei Sewell end up taking a SACK as a quarterback, Romo’s math was a bit off.
“Did Tony Romo just claim Sewell is 460 pounds?,” posted one viewer.

“No way Tony Romo just said Penei Sewell is 460 lbs lmao,” added a second.
Sewell’s listed weight is a scale-tipping 335lbs – he would have to eat a lot of turkey to make Romo’s claim correct.
The QB turned color commentator did have some defenders online.
“That line from Romo was some dynamite color commentary. ‘Sewell hasn’t given up a sack – but he’s been sacked’”, said one impressed fan.
