Laura Woods remains a big favourite at Alexandra Palace but hasn’t been seen at recent PDC World Darts Championships.
The former talkSPORT Breakfast host was once the face of the darts coverage but Emma Paton now leads the action for Sky Sports.
Woods has had a hectic but hugely successful year, having presented the Paris Olympics immediately after fronting Euro 2024 for ITV.
She also is regularly on hosting duties for TNT Sports’ for their Champions League and boxing coverage.
But what about her original role in the darts?
Will Woods be at the PDC World Darts Championship?
Unfortunately, Woodsy will not be at Alexandra Palace in any official capacity for the 2024 tournament.
That is because the TV rights remain with Sky Sports, which Woods left in 2022 after more than ten years with the broadcaster.
As mentioned, Emma Paton is Sky’s new darts presenter, and she will be at the Ally Pally again this year for the tournament’s duration.
talkSPORT also has live coverage throughout, but Woods left talkSPORT studios in an emotional farewell in the summer of 2023.
She had spent three fantastic years with the radio station, building up a hilarious rapport with Ally McCoist on The Breakfast Show.
Therefore, Wood, who now heads up TNT Sports’ Champions League coverage, isn’t set to be working at the Alexandra Palace.
However, the 37-year-old could yet decide to go along as a fan – having shared a touching throwback of her darts days last year.
Darts star Ted Evetts took to Instagram to share a picture of him being interviewed by Woods alongside the caption: “Throwback to winning at the worlds and an interview with @laurawoodsy.”
Woods later replied to the post writing: “Great picture! Man, I miss the worlds!”
Woods is also due to give birth to her first child near the end of the year or early 2025 which will rule out any appearance as a fan.
The talkSPORT hero, who is in a relationship with former Love Island contestant Adam Collard, revealed in July that she was pregnant.
