Hakim Ziyech had his head in his hands as he missed an open goal from eight yards out on Saturday night.
The Galatasaray winger put up a strong contender for miss of the season in their Turkish Super Lig clash with Bodrum.
Michy Batshuayi had put Galatasaray 1-0 ahead against the 10-men Bodrum early in the second half.
Victor Osimhen broke through the opponents back line and squared it to Ziyech with the goal at his mercy.
Just eight yards out, all the ex-Chelsea man needed to do was roll it into the back of the empty net for all three points to be assure.
However, he managed to get underneath the ball and sky it over the crossbar.
Ziyech was left with his hands on his head after the shocking miss.
“Embarrassing,” one fan wrote on X.
Another said: “How do you miss that!?”
A third added: “This is the reason Chelsea sold him.”
The 31-year-old joined Galatasaray on a permanent deal this summer, after spending the 2023/24 season on loan at the club.
Ziyech spent three seasons at Stamford Bridge, playing 107 games and helping them win the Champions League.
Galatasaray did go on to hold on to their 1-0 win to extend their lead at the top of the table.
The Istanbul-based side are yet to be beaten in the Super Lig this season after 12 games.
They lead Jose Mourinho‘s Fenerbahce by five points.
