Tyson Fury stuns fans with bulky physique ahead of Oleksandr Usyk rematch as he spars world champion who dropped Daniel Dubois

OpenTyson Fury stuns fans with bulky physique ahead of Oleksandr Usyk rematch as he spars world champion who dropped Daniel Dubois

Tyson Fury looks as though he has put on some extra timbre for his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.

‘The Gypsy King’ fell to the first defeat of his professional career against Usyk in May but he will have the opportunity to exact his revenge on December 21 when they run it back in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Fury admits he knows where he went wrong in their inaugural encounter and has told fans to expect a far more aggressive approach to the rematch.

After drawing with Deontay Wilder in their first fight back in 2020, Fury packed on 17lbs for their sequel and blasted out ‘The Bronze Bomber’ in seven rounds.

It appears Fury is looking to adopt the same weight tactics for his second outing with Usyk as he showed off a bulky physique during recent photos from his camp.

Reacting to his shape on social media, one fan wrote: “He looks heavy.”

Another added: “In excellent shape. Wilder 2 vibes.”

A third wrote: “Usyk is gonna get beat up this time around and we’ll get the trilogy.”

Meanwhile, somebody else remarked: “My word. Fury looks massive.”

Fury’s coach Andy Lee claims Fury was unable to do any proper sparring ahead of his last outing with Usyk after sustaining a cut above his right before their initial planned meeting.

But one month out from the rematch, Fury is getting some rounds in with WBC bridgerweight champion Kevin Lerena.

The South African puncher was recently elevated to full-world champion after Lawrence Okolie vacated the belt to move up to heavyweight.

British boxing fans will remember Lerena as the man who dropped Daniel Dubois three times back in 2022 before succumbing to a stoppage loss in a shock turnaround.

Lerena is a perfect sparring partner for Fury as he is not only a southpaw but also a former cruiserweight with a similar size and stature to Usyk.

Taking to Instagram, to post photos of him and Fury in the gym together, Lerena wrote: “Camp Life is in full swing.

“Just one month left until the Unified Heavyweight Championship of the World.

“The energy in the gym is electric. Preparation meets determination, desire & the will to succeed! In the lab grinding away.”

Fury felt hard done by the result last time out and doesn’t intend to leave the fight in the hands of the judges again.

“I’ve always been a bad man my whole life, and I’m still one today at nearly 40 years old; a few years off 40, but I like to say that,” Fury told TNT Sport.

“I’m going to go in there with ‘destroy mode’. Last time I went to box him, I was being cautious.

“I boxed the head right off him. Let’s talk facts. Anyone can get caught, as we’ve seen in a lot of these heavyweight fights.

“But this time I’m not going for a points decision. I’m going to knock a m**********r out.”
