OpentalkSPORT betting tips – Best boxing bets and expert advice for Adam Azim vs Ohara Davies

Adam Azim will look to record the biggest statement of his career this weekend as he faces Ohara Davies at the Copper Box Arena in London.

Azim is hoping to burst on to the world stage in the coming years and the 22-year-old can improve his reputation by stopping the experienced Davies.

While Azim is just starting out in his career, Davies is coming to the end of his and Saturday’s fight is perhaps his last opportunity to impress under the lights on a big card.

Azim can announce himself on the big stage

Berkshire fighter Azim has yet to taste defeat and the 11-fight professional has worked his way through the ranks.

‘The Assassin’ has won eight of his 11 fights by knockout and has barely put a foot wrong since making his debut in 2020.

Azim has immense speed and power and has already been tipped to reach the top by several boxing pundits.

While Azim has yet to fight any big names, he has ticked every box in the first four years of his career and he was last in action in February, beating Enock Poulsen by knockout.

Davies is also known to carry power, winning 25 fights, 18 of those by knockout, however, he has not fought since being stopped by Ismael Barroso in Las Vegas in January and it is highly likely that he will be outclassed by Azim in the capital.

Vulnerable Davies on the decline

‘Two Tanks’ has enjoyed a decent career and been involved in some big fights, but he has never lived up to his potential.

When he has stepped up in class, Davies has always fallen short, having lost to Josh Taylor, Jack Catterall and Barroso in his career.

Davies will need to hurt Azim early to earn his respect, but he is defensively vulnerable and often leaves himself exposed.

Azim has the hand speed and power to turn a fight in his favour in an instant. During his defeat to Barroso, Davies was stopped inside the first round and he may go running for the opening three minutes to get some confidence back.

The harsh reality for Davies is that he is being used as a stepping stone for Azim as he looks to make a statement ahead of potential future world title shots.

Davies has plenty of miles on the clock and, once Azim decides to step up the pace, he could find himself on the canvas.
